ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 will be the tenth Cricket World Cup and will be hosted by three South Asian Test cricket playing countries: India, Sri Lankaand Bangladesh. It will be Bangladesh’s first time co-hosting a Cricket World Cup. The World Cup will use cricket’s One Day International format, with fourteen national cricket teams scheduled to compete. The World Cup will take place between February and early April 2011, with the first match to be played on 19 February 2011 with co-hosts India and Bangladesh facing off at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. Cricket is the most famous game in South Asia and people here are crazy for it. Three South Asian test playing countries that include Indian, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh will be the Co-host of ICC World Cup Cricket 2011. Cricket World Cup 2011 matches are scheduled to be taken place from February 2011 till April 2010. The Opening Ceremony of ICC World Cup Cricket 2011 will be carried out by Bangladesh and held on 18th February, 2011.


One semi-final of the tournament was officially handed over to India, afterPakistan were stripped of its rights to host the tournament. The semi-final venues are the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka and PCA Stadium in Mohali, India. The ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 Final Match is scheduled to be played at the renovated Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, India.

Prize Money for Winner Team of ICC Cricket World Cup 2011: The 2011 Cricket World Cup winning team would be taking home a prize money of US$ 4 million, with the International Cricket Council deciding to double the total allocation for the coveted tournament to US$ 10 millon.
